In my second semester, I worked on a project that revolved around light and photography with the help from my teachers, Andrew Lerario and Mike Strong. Here is my blog that I updated weekly during my journey.
For two weeks, I got to learn how to make different types baked goods and I actually blogged about it! We blogged about all of our creations in pairs and my friend Kimberly Parra and I decided to create a whole food blog called Lily and Kim Food Adventures! I am so happy I got this opportunity to learn about something different and focus on what I wanted to do. I actually learned a handful about baking and wish to bake more after this intersession! Here are some of my favorite baked goods I made during the time, click on them to learn about how to make them!
eMpATHy Lens
My math project for the first semester was based on data analysis, using univariate and bivariate statistics. We collected class data about our lives and learned how to analyze with different concepts. We anonymously received one of our classmate's data set and compared to the whole class data. We put ourselves in the person's shoes and created lens based on their data to show eMpATHy for the person.
Fall Math Learning
This semester, our teacher Sarah Strong focused on three different ideas; univariate statistics, bivariate statistics, and functions. We created a univariate and bivariate graphs based on variables from our class data, which we learned how to analyze with different concepts. This helped us develop eMpATHy for our classmates. We ended the semester with an introduction to functions. Below are my summaries of learning for each unit we worked on.
